According to the club's by-laws, membership is limited to individuals who work in the field of communications; for example in public relations, print/electronic media or advertising. College students majoring in communications are also eligible to join.
In honor of our 50th anniversary, the Women's Press Club of New York State has frozen it's 2016-2017 membership fee at $50 per year, and introduced a special membership rate of $25 per year for those 40 and under. We look forward to having you join us during this special year!
Standard Membership: $50 per year
40-and-Under Membership: $25 per year (proof of age required)
Student Membership: $25 per year (must be a full-time, matriculated student at an accredited college or university with a declared major in communications)
Economic Hardship Membership: $40 per year
In these economic times, the Women's Press Club recognizes that many media outlets, organizations and agencies have downsized, leaving some of our colleagues in search of new employment opportunities. We’ve created a special annual membership fee for these individuals. NOTE: Special documentation is required for this membership category. This fee is only valid while the individual is out of work. Once re-employed, the individual will be required to pay the standard membership fee.
